End-to-End Production
Dom served as Production Coordinator and Lead for La La Land — Green Velvet's flagship Chicago event at Radius. He owned every production layer from initial concept through day-of execution: stage design, lighting direction, a full limited-edition merch program, city-wide pop-up activations, and complete project management start to finish.
The result was a sold-out show at one of Chicago's premier venues, featuring Green Velvet, Seth Troxler b2b Hiroko Yamamura, DJ Heather, and Ōsé — with a production footprint that extended well beyond the venue walls.
Scope of Work
Stage Design
Built for the Room
Dom developed the complete stage design for Radius — a 2,500-cap venue with serious production expectations. Working from a detailed design draft (Rev B), the stage featured a central LED wall flanked by curved side screens, a custom branded DJ riser with neon signage, character inflatables from the La La Land visual universe flanking the stage, and a full moving-head lighting rig.
Every lighting state was pre-programmed across four color moods — red, white, cyan, and green — to match the energy arc of the night and each artist's aesthetic. The design draft went through multiple revisions before arriving at the final build spec.
Merch Design
Limited Edition Drop
Dom designed and produced a full limited-edition merch line for the event: a baseball jersey with La La Land branding, two graphic tees (including the 'What You Talkin Bout' back-print and the full-lineup Cajual collab tee), and a snapback cap — all produced under the Velvet Vault / Shipment VV0091 identity.
Every piece was spec'd with print locations, colorways, and decoration methods before going to production — from screen-print front graphics to full-color digital back prints. The merch line sold through the pop-up activation before the event doors even opened.
City Activations
Beyond the Venue
The La La Land experience extended across Chicago through The Velvet Vault — a secret-location pop-up (VV0091) offering early access to exclusive Cajual + Relief merch and a surprise DJ set by Cajmere. The location was revealed only to those in the know, creating genuine scarcity and street-level buzz before the main event.
Dom coordinated all logistics, vendor relationships, and on-the-ground execution for the off-site activation — ensuring the brand story was consistent from street level to stage.
